Luther Thomas Elementary was nationally recognized as one of 26 school districts in Texas to be considered a Blue Ribbon School

Founded in 2012 through a partnership of FCISD, FCISD alumni and the Falls City community
Received 501(c) (3) status in 2013
Raised over $100,000 in its inaugural “Blue and White Gala”
Has contributed over $450,000 to Falls City ISD
Recipient of South Texas Energy and Economic Roundtable (STEER) Eagle Ford Excellence Award in 2015 and 2016
Recipient of 2016 Coastal Bend Community Foundation Robotics Grant of $1,137.

25 tablets for teacher use in the classroom
Purchased a cart of 10 iPads to be used within the elementary classes
125 Teacher/ Student workstations
Allowed FCISD to double the number of computers within the district
Innovative Teacher Grants – Teacher requested grants for items that could enhance the learning opportunities of students
Elementary Science Lab, Music Instruments, Math equipment, Elementary Science camp, robotics equipment, physics equipment
90 laptops - 3 classroom carts with 30 lap tops in each cart
2 carts for elementary, 1 cart for high school/ junior high
9 interactive projectors for teacher use in the classrooms
Elementary Math department grant to enhance the Math program
$500 to each new teacher to the district to enhance their class
Career and Technology Education – Funded the start-up cost of a certified Welding program and Family and Consumer Science program
Technology to support data management system, laptops, chromebooks and charging stations that will benefit all students.
Partnered with the District to fund a plasma table for the new CTE building that benefits all welding students.
Reading Plus-Innovative Computer Reading Program benefiting all students K-8
Falls City ISD Goals for future allocations:
Continue to fund Elementary science and kindergarten summer camps
Ensure all teachers have the tools necessary to teach 21st century skills by continuing the Innovative Teacher Grants
Implement a complete one-to-one initiative for all students in 3rd- 12th grade
Install complete wireless coverage of the campus with the capacity to handle the one-to-one initiative
Implement a project based, hands on, career and tech program
Implement programs that allow students to exit high school with career certifications
Continue to explore innovative ways to educate the students of Falls City
